These pictures are all from our last day. We started at the Irving near the Mt. Uniacke sign on highway #1. Speaking of Irving gas stations, last year that is where we stopped because it was most convenient. This year there were not as many on our route and I think, I did not count, just as many Tim Horton's coffee shops as Irving Gas stations.
The picture with the fish is from somewhere on the #2 above Enfield. That wold make this picture from Thursday, not Friday.
That is the Minus Basin behind Neil and I in the background. We stopped to let Andrew catch up in the van before we arrived at the Camp.
The last picture of course is of Neil & I at our final destination in front of the T4Y sign. Soon after that we drove home to Sussex Corner wit a stop in Truro for supper. Neil went on home to Windsor, NB on Saturday morning.
I want to recognize others who helped along the way and made our trip possible most of all Andrew for driving the van and making sure Neil & I had water and food and looked out for us along the road.
Thank you to our hosts and those who arranged accomodations along the way. we were blessed.
Thank you to all who have donated so far to Cycle for Campers. Check out the main site for the running total. Pray that more money will come in as much more is needed.
I retruned John's bike to him on Saturday. Mine needs some repair and parts. He hopes to have it ready for Thurday. I will be ready to ride again by then and eager to keep training for 2 more legs for CFC. Check back later for more news on the day trip and Newfoundland part of CFC 2008.
