Day 4 ends

Hi all,

We arrived at our end for the day about 5 PM today. We stopped to visit someone along the way. It was the best day for cycling even though we still had a head wind. It was a warm one.

I have not talked about our hosts aong the way and I will write more later. We have been blessed with 5 star accomodations and fellowship this week.

Someone asked what keeps us going? Prayer and the goal of campers attending camp with the opportuntity their life may be changed for eternity. What do I think about, keeping going. Watching the road ahead, traffic, etc.

Day 3

Another windy day. Our day started with us traveling back to New Glasgow to our mile marker. We went 9 KM until we decided the winter air was too much. We went almost back to NG and biked with the wind until we arrived wheer we had stopped earlier. We turned around again and went to NG. This time to bike the right direction.

We were detoured off the hhighway onto the old road. What a blessing. We stayed onthe #4 all the way to Truro. The sun shone, we were sheltered from the wind and we made very good time.

If you think of us pray for a wind at our back and for physical strenth and endurance as we enter day 4. We have traveled 300 KM so far but 200 more to go. I need prayer for pain in my knee.
TY.

Bike provided

Hi,

I've been biking so much I can't type. Not really. I have been out a number of days now. The longest was 43 KM in 1 hour & 50 min from home to the 4 lane highway. Good hill climbing.

Last week I found out that Bikes & Beans did not have a bike my size for me to use. Well, I guess I will have to use my old one. Today when I took it in to get a once over, John, the owner of Outdoor Elements, offered me his to use! Wow. What a blessing. I am going to try his clipless petals as well.

I look slike our Newfoundland plans are coming along well too. 6 people may cycle with me.

Talked to a Youth Pastor yesterday about some coming along for part of the Truro to Sussex day. Looking for more.

Outside

Well, I finally got to bike outside tonight. 28 KM in just over 1 hour not too bad. I pray that the wind calms down a bit though.

New Blog

Hi everyone,

I thought it would be a good idea to have a blog so you can keep up on my preparation for and cycling of Cycle for Campers (CFC from now on). I have been training inside but have not had the time at the right time of day to bike outside yet. maybe tonight. Pray for time to train.
